Today was a traveling day so we woke up about 5:15 am and it took me awhile to get out of my tent. But the car ride was fun we went to Crater Lake and it was so beautiful the hike got me a little tired but it was worth it. Once you get to the top it is so peaceful and you could just see the whole thing and it was the best view ever. 
 Once we arrived at Collier State Park, Alex Gonyaw arrived and he took us to a little stream  that had otters and is spring fed. He talked a little bit about aspen trees and he also mentioned that they do not spread seeds. They are one organism that spreads and makes more aspen trees grow.

July 14, 2019  today as we were going down Mt. bachelor we had to stop or slow down because there was a little event that was going on. there was people biking up the mountain and then we saw people running. soon we arrived at our hiking trail and it was very long and pretty.

July 15, 2015  We met Tom Walker and Trent  they took us to save the native plants by pulling out the non-native plants at a marsh pit by putting waders on and pulling out the weeds. It was really gross at first but after awhile I got used of it and it was a really great experience, my foot got stuck in the mud and I almost fell into the pond and it was scary because I had my phone in my pocket. Luckily it didn’t get wet and we were all safe. Except for some of the students fell in. After lunch we went with Pete Powers to go save the Aspen trees, when we first arrived I wasn’t ready but once we started working it was really fun, I fell down a couple times but it was cool, we got to help the Aspen trees grow by cutting  the other plants around it. We took a little break and went tree riding  with Grayson Mesplie.

July 17,2019  Alex took us to Klamath fisheries and water laboratory where he talked about the dams and how they want to get rid of them so some of the fish can come up stream. He also mentioned that the lost river sucker and the short nose sucker is endangered. The oldest fish they have found was about 50  years old (lost river sucker) and for the short nose sucker was about 30 years old, you can tell how old the fish are by looking at their scale under a microscope and it has little rings (like a tree) that you can count and it’ll tell you. The short nose sucker fish can live up to 33 years old and get 35 inches long. Females produce about 44,000 to 218,000 eggs. Adults deposit eggs in gravel bottoms. Most of the fish know where they spawn so every year they go back to lay eggs.  Jeff Mitchell arrived at our camp in the evening. He welcomed us with a song.
